Day:   1   |   2am   |   2pm   |   3   |   4   |   5   |   6&7   日

Fourth day, January 31, 2015:
The fourth day was a day of relaxation for us. We planned to go island hopping to White Island. At first, when Amado mentioned that White Island was about an hour trip, I thought it was an hour trip by car. I was really surprised when Jojo, Amado's son, and Alan, the son of Amado's sister Linda, who accompanied us brought us to a small beach in Mactan to take a boat ride. Anyway, since White Island is quite far, we decided to go halfway, to Hilutungan.

When we reached Hilutungan, we did go to the beach. Rather, we anchored on the water and enjoyed the refreshing water of the sea. The principal, Mr. Jerry Tang, and the Prefect of Studies, Huang Shiang Yung, took a dip into the crystal clear water. About noon, we took our lunch with the food we brought along on our trip.

It was late afternoon that we decided to go back. And what an experience we had. The waves were high and the trip back was really rough and bumpy. I am sure that it was an experience that my Taiwanese companions would never forget in their life.

Once in the hotel, we refreshed ourselves and then go to Amado's house for our last supper in Cebu. The whole Go family joined us there. Lo and behold, we had one lechon all for ourselves. And talking about lechon, the best lechon in the Philippines is in Cebu. At the end of the dinner, we exchanged gifts. Amado had prepared a bag for each one of us containing a box of Cebu's finest, dried mango, and a small box of masareal, a native delicacy.

We are deeply indebted to the Go family, especially Amado, who took really good care of us during our 4 days stay in Cebu. I pray that the good Lord will recompense them for their kindness and generosity to us. I am sure that my Taiwanese companions will never forget them.

Thanks to Miss Chiu Hsiu Ping for many of the pictures she provided.
