This year, we held our annual home made dumplings at the restaurant owned by the family of one of our students, Hung Cheng Jiun, in Chutung. Since the restaurant opens only at night, so it was free for us to use at noon.

I invited the Principal and he came with his wife to join us. I also invited Mr. Peter Zha, the Australian AIESEC International Volunteer, teaching English in our school. He was very happy to be invited and he did learn how to wrap home made dumplings. I did invite our Canadian exchange student, Miss Hannah Gardiner, but unfortunately she could not come.

It was fun making our dumplings from scratch. The students took turn chopping the cabbages, squeezing out some juice from the chopped cabbages and then mixing it with ground pork. Then the wrapping of the dumplings proceeded. Two students, Huang Ding Chien and Liu Kuan Wei, were assigned to make two different soups for the group. And the soups came out so delicious. The mother of Hung Cheng Jiun also joined us wrapping dumplings and his young sisters help in eating those wonderful dumplings.
